Chapati ladoo is an easy and delicious sweet with leftover chapati or roti. These ladoos are an excellent snack for kids, you can also serve as a dessert.
How to make chapati or roti?
Chapati is a popular Indian dish with wheat flour (atta). It is easy and simple to make at home in just a few mins. Chapati ladoos are made using a leftover chapatis or roti. If you do not have leftover chapatis handy, you can make some chapatis and allow to cool completely before start making the laddoos.
1. In a wide bowl add wheat flour, salt and mix well.
2. Add water slowly and knead a firm and soft dough. Cover and set the dough for at least 20 mins.
3. Divide the dough into small balls, dust with wheat flour to avoid sticking to the rolling surface and roll it into the thin flat circles.
4. Dust off the excess wheat flour from the chapati and place in a hot skillet (cook one chapati at a time and repeat the same procedure for the rest) and cook until it slightly starts to puff (like popping out little bubbles on top of the chapati).
Turn and cook on the other side until it puffed perfectly. Keep pressing the chapati gently without tearing using a kitchen towel it helps to cook evenly. Apply ghee or butter on one side of the chapati and serve.
Smart Cooking Tips:
1. You can add jaggery powder instead of sugar. Adjust adding sweetness according to your taste.
2. Add warm ghee and make laddoos. If the ghee is not warm enough then the laddoos are difficult to get bind and form a shape.
How to serve chapati laddoos?
Serve chapati laddoos as a snack or dessert. You can store this ladoo in a refrigerator for 3 – 4 days.
CHAPATI LADOO – EASY SNACK WITH LEFTOVER CHAPATI

- 0.50 cup WHEAT FLOUR
- 0.25 tsp SALT TABLE
- 2.50 tbsp SUGARS GRANULATED
- 1 tbsp GHEE
- 2 gms CASHEW NUTS RAW
- 2 gms RAISINS SEEDLESS
- 1 no CARDAMOM

Tear the chapatis or rotis into small pieces. If you do not have chapatis or rotis handy, you can make in just a few mins check the above notes for how to make chapatis.

In a blender, add chapati pieces, sugar, cardamom and blend to a smooth powder little coarse texture is fine. Transfer to a bowl.

In a small pan, heat ghee, add cashew nuts, raisins, and roast until the cashew nuts color changes to golden brown. Add to the powdered chapati mixture and mix well.

Shape them into small balls and serve or store in a refrigerator for 3 – 4 days.
