1. Wash the fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves, and green chilies thoroughly in the water and grind it to a smooth paste. Avoid adding water while grinding if it ‘s hard to grind, use a little amount of water.

2. Add lemon juice, salt to taste and mix well. Lemon juice helps to retain the chutney’s fresh green color. Also, gives a slightly sour taste to the green chutney.

3. You can also add little ginger and garlic to the green chutney.

Smart Cooking Tips:

1. You can add or reduce the vegetables according to your taste. But this combo onion, tomato, cucumber and boiled potatoes make an excellent sandwich.

2. Apply a generous amount of butter on the bread slice this helps to avoid making the bread soggy after applying green chutney. Because the moisture content of the herbs makes the sandwich soggy.

2. I used a sandwich maker to make this sandwich; you can also make it on the stove top by using a large skillet. But sandwich maker helps to save the time and sandwich turns out more crispy.

3. I used whole grain bread in this sandwich; you can do any variety of bread of your choice.
