Cabbage Rice

Ingredients:
1 small size cabbage
1tsp cumin seeds
4 Eggs
2 cups rice
salt to taste
6 green chillies
2 spring curry leaves
Garam masala
4 cups water
Canola or vegetable oil
1 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation:
1.Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes.
2.cook the rice separately by adding water and little salt in the rice cooker or stove top or pressure cooker.
3.In the large pan,add oil once it becomes hot ;add cumin seeds,saute for a minute.
4.Add onion,curry leaves and cook till the onion becomes soft.
5.Add green chillies and turmeric powder,cook for two minutes.
6.Add the shredded cabbage,salt, garam masala and cook till the cabbage are done(Keep stirring).
7.Reduce the flame to low and add the eggs,cook till the eggs are done.
8.Finally add the cooked rice and give it to a good mix.
9.Cabbage rice is ready to be served.

CRAB CAKES

Ingredients:
Nonstick cooking spray
1/2 small yellow onion
1 celery stalk,minced
8 ounces pasteurized lump crabmeat
2 tablespoons whole-wheat panko bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning blend
1/4 cup sugar-free cocktail sauce

Preparation:
1.Spray a large skillet,preferably nonstick,with cooking spray.
2.Set over medium heat,add onion and celery,saute for a few minutes until the onions becomes soft.
3.Transfer to a large bowl and let it cool for 5 minutes.
4.Add the crabmeat,mayonnaise,bread crumbs,mustard and cajun seasoning blend,stir gently to create a uniform mixture.
5.Make a patties out of it,about 3/4-inch thick between your palms to make sure they cohere.
6.Spray the skillet again with non-stick spray;set over medium heat for 1 minute.
7.Add the crab cakes and cook until brown,about 8 minutes,turning once.
8.Serve each cake with 1 tablespoon cocktail sauce.
