Easy and Healthy Dosa Recipe:

Ragi also known as finger millet that is widely used in South Indian households. Ragi is an excellent source of fiber, iron, and calcium that helps to prevent anemia controls blood sugar and supports bone health. This dosa is a healthy dinner option for diabetes patients. The fiber content in the ragi helps to control the blood sugar level and make us feel fuller for a long time. The onions, green chilies and curry leaves give an excellent taste to the dosa.

Smart Cooking Tips:

1. Adding buttermilk is optional. You can replace the buttermilk with water. If you do not have buttermilk handy, you can add water to the sour yogurt and blend once in a blender. 

2. Cook this dosa over a medium flame,  it takes a little longer time to cook compared to the dosa made with rice flour.

3. Adjust adding water and buttermilk according to your taste. You can add half a cup of buttermilk and one cup of water for making the batter.

Ragi dosa is an easy and quick dinner option that you can make instantly with ragi and wheat flour. You can even combine both ragi and wheat flour together and store in an airtight container. RAGI DOSA WITH WHEAT FLOUR – INSTANT RAGI DOSA

Ragi dosa is a healthy and instant dosa recipe with ragi flour and wheat flour. This dosa is easy and simple to make in just a few mins.

  • 1 cup RAGI FLOUR
  • 0.50 cup WHEAT FLOUR
  • 1 cup BUTTERMILK
  • 0.50 cup WATER
  • 0.50 cup CHOPPED ONION
  • 2 no GREEN CHILIES
  • 10 no CURRY LEAVES
  • 1 tsp SALT TABLE
  1. Chop the onion, green chilies, and curry leaves finely.

  2. In a bowl add ragi flour, wheat flour, salt, buttermilk, water, chopped onion, green chilies, curry leaves and mix well. Allow the batter to sit at room temperature for 20 mins.

  3. Heat a skillet, pour a spoonful of batter and spread slightly to a thin circle. Drizzle oil on the sides and cook over a medium flame on both sides until the color changes to dark brown. Ragi dosa is ready to serve.
