Potato pepper fry is a spicy and delicious south Indian dish. It is a simple side dish that goes well with many rice varieties like sambar rice, rasam rice, and curd rice. From kids to everyone loves this spicy potato pepper fry. It tastes slightly My son Aldrich loves this potato pepper fry I add the spices little less when cooking for him. SMART COOKING TIPS:
1. Dice the potato into slightly large cubes. You can use baby potatoes in this recipe. Finely chopped potatoes get easily mashed after boiling.
2. Add the spices according to your taste.
3. Keep stirring often while cooking to avoid the potatoes getting burned.
HOW TO SERVE POTATO PEPPER FRY?
Serve potato pepper fry with sambar rice or rasam rice or curd rice. Curd rice with potato pepper fry is my all time favorite meal.
Potato Pepper Fry (Aloo Pepper Fry)
Potato pepper fry is an easy and spicy South Indian recipe that goes well with rice varieties. It is simple to make in just a few mins.
- 2 no POTATO ((medium size))
- 1 cup ONION CHOPPED
- 1 tsp RED CHILI POWDER
- 1 tsp CORIANDER POWDER
- 1 tsp SALT
- 1 tsp PEPPER POWDER
- 10 no CURRY LEAVES
- 2 tbsp OIL
- 0.25 tsp TURMERIC POWDER

Dice the potatoes into slightly bigger cubes. Chop the onions finely.

Boil the potatoes until tender. In a pan, heat oil, add chopped onion, curry leaves and cook until the onion becomes soft.

Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well. Sprinkle little amount of water and cook until the spices lose its raw smell.

Add boiled potatoes, salt, pepper powder and mix well. Cook until the potatoes color changes to golden brown.
