AVOCADO FRIES WITH CILANTRO LIME SAUCE

Avocado fries is an easy and healthy snack tastes crispy on the outside and soft inside. Sliced avocado coated with bread crumbs and baked.

Avocado is a healthy fruit, an excellent source of heart-healthy monosaturated fats, potassium, and fiber. You can a variety of recipes using an avocado like guacamole, avocado milkshake, avocado paratha, avocado boiled egg sandwich, avocado salad, avocado deviled eggs, avocado breakfast burrito and used as a topping for tacos. The natural creamy texture and buttery taste of the avocado helps to make a delicious dishes.

Avocado fries are a healthy finger food or appetizer with only a few ingredients. These fries are an excellent finger food for toddlers. It is easy and simple to make in a few minutes tastes crispy outside and soft inside. The seasonings help to add an additional taste to the fries.

Smart cooking tips:

1. Handle the avocados gently when tossing and coating with the bread crumbs and flour because the avocado slices tend to get break quickly.

2. You can replace the milk with almond milk or soy milk for a vegan option. 

3. You can add any of your favorite seasonings to the bread crumbs like garlic powder and onion powder.

Cilantro Lime Sauce:

Cilantro lime sauce is a creamy and mildly spicy sauce with sour cream, cilantro, lime and jalapeno peppers. This sauce is very east to make at home with only a few ingredients. You can serve this sauce as a side with chips, fries, quesadillas, and tacos. Cilantro and avocado together make a wonderful combination, so I made this cilantro flavored sauce as a side for the avocado fries.

Serve avocado fries with cilantro lime sauce or any of your favorite sauce.

AVOCADO FRIES WITH CILANTRO LIME SAUCE

Avocado fries is an easy and healthy snack tastes crispy on the outside and soft inside. Sliced avocado coated with bread crumbs and baked. 

  • 1 no AVOCADO
  • 3 tbsp ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 0.25 cup MILK
  • 0.50 cup BREAD CRUMBS
  • 0.25 tsp PEPPER BLACK
  • 0.50 tsp SALT TABLE
  • 1 tbsp OIL
  • 0.50 tsp RED CHILI POWDER
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees and grease the baking pan with oil. Slice the avocado into thin slices.

  2. In a bowl add bread crumbs, red chili powder, salt and mix well. In a separate bowl add all purpose flour, a pinch of salt, pepper powder and mix well. Keep the milk ready in a separate bowl.

  3. Coat each avocado slice with flour mixture first then dip in the milk then on the bread crumbs mixture.

  4. Arrange the avocado slices on a greased baking pan and drizzle oil on top of the avocado slices. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Turn the avocado slices to the other side after 10 minutes. Crispy baked avocado slices are ready to serve.

  5. For cilantro lime sauce: Blend 8 oz of sour cream, 1 bunch of cilantro, 1 tsp of lime juice, jalapeno peppers (to taste), salt (to taste) together until smooth and serve.
