18 kids snacks recipes for road trips

road trip snacks for kids

Road trips are fun but with younger kids, it is not so much.
You need to take care of feeding and entertaining them all the way.

Children get bored easily, and the best way to keep them entertained is snacking.
Although my son Aldrich enjoys a car ride but he still needs something to munch every couple of hours.
Long drive not only makes kids bored it also makes them tired. So the body naturally asks for food and fluids.

When we plan our trips one thing we tend to overlook is the snacks. The reason is we think we can get the packaged snacks from any stores or gas stations.

If you think about it, you never would do that on a regular day when you are staying at home.
Because you know they are not healthy and could be dangerous for growing kids.

Keeping this in mind I thought of putting together a collection of snacks recipes that can be used for road trips.

They are homemade and can be made in advance. You can carry it for your trips to entertain your kids and feel good about it.
