Tortilla pinwheels are the easy party appetizer recipe. You can choose fillings according to your choice. Simply seasoned cream cheese and bell pepper combo is enough to make the delicious pinwheels.
Choosing the good quality tortillas is important to make delicious pinwheels. Usually, store-bought tortillas are not my favorite. It won’t taste fresh and good just like the homemade tortillas. At friends home, they hosted a get together with around 35 to 40 people for Halloween and they asked me to prepare an appetizer. And that’s when I need to buy the store-bought tortillas.
I found Maria and Ricardo’s soft corn tortillas at whole foods that really taste fresh and delicious just like the homemade ones. They are easy to wrap around the fillings without getting crack or break. These tortillas are made with simple and wholesome ingredients.

Tortillas are great for breakfast, lunch box, snack, and dinner. If you have leftover salads or grilled chicken or meat from the dinner. You can make a quick burrito in the morning for breakfast. Stocking up tortillas in the pantry helped me fixing the last minute meal chaos at my home several times.
Easy Tortilla Pinwheels

- 4 no Maria and Ricardo's Soft Corn Tortillas
- 1 tbsp Cream Cheese
- 1 no Avocado
- 0.50 tsp Salt (to taste)
- 0.25 cup Chopped Cilantro
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 no Jalapeno Pepper Seeded
- 2 tbsp Onion Chopped
- 2 tbsp Tomato Chopped
- 1 lb Chicken Boneless, Skinless
- 1 tsp Salt (to taste)
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 no Onion Sliced
- 1 no Green Bell Pepper Sliced
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Sauce
- 2 tbsp Oil
- For pan seared chicken: Slice the chicken breast thinly. In a pan, heat oil, add onion and cook until soft. Add bell pepper, chicken, soy sauce, coriander pepper, salt, and cook on high heat until the chicken is done. Add red chili sauce and mix well. Pan seared chicken is ready.

For the creamy guacamole: Blend cream cheese, avocado, salt, lemon juice, jalapeno pepper, and coriander leaves together. Add chopped onion, tomato and mix well.

Warm the tortillas for 30 sec on the skillet. Spread creamy guacamole, add chicken and roll. Cover the roll with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for at least 30 mins.

Cut them into small pieces using a sharp knife and serve.
How to serve tortilla pinwheels:
Serve tortilla pinwheels as an appetizer or snack. It is great for the kids’ lunch box too.
