Goli bajji (Mangalore Bonda) is a popular South Indian snack. It tastes crispy on the outer and soft inside, easy and simple to make at home.

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 0.50 cup Sour Yogurt (Curd)
  • 1 pinch Baking Soda
  • 0.50 cup Water (for making batter)
  • 0.50 tsp Grated Ginger
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coconut pieces (optional)
  • 0.50 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves Chopped
  • 0.50 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 no Green Chili
  • 1 cup Oil (for frying goli bajji)
  • 2 tbsp Onion finely chopped
  1. In a bowl, add all-purpose flour (maida), rice flour, yogurt, chopped onion, green chilies, baking soda, salt, cumin seeds, chopped cilantro, grated ginger and mix well.
  2. Add water little by little and make a smooth batter without any lumps.

  3. In a hot oil, drop the batter little by little and deep fry until golden brown. Goli bajji is ready to serve.
