Besan ladoo in the microwave is an easy and quick sweet that you can make in just a few mins without roasting the besan flour for a longer time.
Besan Ke Ladoo in Microwave:
Traditionally, besan ladoo is prepared by roasting the besan (chickpea) flour for a long until the color changes to light golden brown over a low to medium heat. It takes about 20 to 25 minutes. Microwave version is a quick method of besan ladoo, it takes only 5 to 8 minutes depending on the microwave power, the quantity of the flour and the quality of the microwave safe bowl. I used a microwave safe thick glass bowl and 2 cups of flour that takes only 8 minutes.
Smart Cooking Tips:
- Take out the glass bowl at every 1-minute interval and mix well to avoid the besan flour getting burned.

Make sure to cook the besan flour until the color changes to light golden brown and nice aroma comes out. If the besan flour remains uncooked then the ladoo would taste the raw besan flour flavor that is not tasty to eat.
- As I mentioned before, each microwave power varies, if the besan flour remains uncooked, continue to cook for another couple of minutes but make sure to take out the flour at every 1-minute interval and mix well.

Add sugar according to your taste.
- Adding cashew nuts are optional. You can any of your favorite chopped nuts instead of cashew nuts.

If you do not have powdered sugar handy, just pulse the regular white sugar in the blender until smooth and use it in the recipe.

- 2 cups Besan (Chickpea) Flour
- 0.50 cup Ghee
- 0.75 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 no Cardamoms Crushed
- 5 no Cashew nuts Chopped
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the ghee for 20 to 30 seconds until liquid consistency. Add besan flour to the melted ghee and mix well using a spoon.

Place the bowl in the microwave oven and cook for 7 to 8 minutes until the besan flour color changes to light golden brown. Take out the bowl from the oven at every 1-minute interval and mix well.

Allow the besan flour mixture to cool thoroughly. Add sugar, crushed cardamoms, chopped cashew nuts and mix well.

Divide into small portions and roll into the smooth small balls. Serve besan ladoo after a couple of hours for the soft and smooth ladoo.
